This video, posted by Battlecam kingpin Alki David, shows M hawking the show. HOT NEWS ---> Someone has added new YouTube channels and filled them with some or all of M's old videos, and it has been done several times. I have started a separate topic with a continuously-maintained OP to document this: hotforwords.freeforums.net/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=38. If anyone knows of additional information about this, please post it there.

Men are always going to rate and rank women, whether the women like it or not. If they really didn't want to go along with the idea, then they would forgo makeup, high-heel shoes, form-fitting clothes, push-up bras, etc.
Should we men not on the top ten (thousand?) sexiest men list object to our lists too?

Well I really don't much care anymore about her video venues. I think she's become a lost soul.
As for me, Im working on my own show. I'm going to take it to NatGeo. Yeah, Im going big time!

Hey CK, how do I create a new thread? I'd like one for "Recent HFW videos discussion." Marina did one on the word "accent," posted on YT in July. So far it has 29 views. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5VRuVW6lZsIf we're going to revive the HFW site at this location, we ought to have a thread for each new (rare) word lesson.

reddragon: That Accent video is over three years old; it only appears to be new. An explanation as to why is discussed in a separate topic here: hotforwords.freeforums.net/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=general&thread=38&post=250. "It's complicated." How to start a new topic is explained here: hotforwords.freeforums.net/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=forumtech&thread=27&post=246. Special attention is given to lesson and HFW videos so that the topic index will look good and make sense to readers. New topics are indeed added for each new HFW video. This topic is one of these as you can tell by the title and is where you could comment on the titled video. I try to "herd the cats" to each new one, but you can still go back and post in them if need be. Capt. J: Well, tell us all about the show, or would you have to shoot us? Is it all about the ins and outs of bilge cleaning? Or how to wrap deceased crew members in sail cloth for burial at sea?

Good catch, Leonard. That video is from the 2010 Entertainment Gathering, called EG4 (which I had never heard of). Since there is no mention of it at the HFW site, I've added a link to it in the Video Index. Here is the trailer for the event, showing the participants in animation. You can see M in a skimpy outfit (if you've got it, flaunt it) waving an EG10 1 sign at 00:40 and in the thumbnail (because how could they resist her?): Trailer link = www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnkOnslFgUAI assume the playlist covers the entire event; it begins with the above-mentioned trailer, which is numbered 10-00. The first participant's video is numbered 10-1, so M must be 32nd on the bill. The playlist link is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnkOnslFgUA&list=PL48029AFB94D5C894&index=1Note 1: If EG4 is the designation for the 2010 event, why does the EG10 logo appear in the trailer (on M's animated sign among other places)? At EG10 in 2016, will they will be able to save a few bucks by reusing these logos? What were they thinking?

There are a lot of YouTubers copying M's videos and re-posting them. Then there are some that use the same titles as M does, so that they will show up in YT search results along with M's vids, but they have weird results:
In Italian?
. Cosby sweater?
Furry strange.

Guess what? It has been SIX months since the last lesson was posted!
____
Since it looks like a mandatory move to Version 5 of the forum software is not going to happen—it was scheduled for last June—I will do the upgrade tomorrow manually. I guess we will see if I know what I am doing.
One thing I am looking forward to is a global maximum pix display width setting that will conform all uploaded photos to a max width. This will prevent a too-wide pix from messing up the right margin (the entire topic, including text, becomes wider than your screen and you must scroll to see everything). I have been reducing my pix to 700 pixels wide to prevent this with the current Version 4, but not everyone has, and all it takes is one too-wide pix to blow it.

Answer: "Just disappear for loooong periods of time."

here is something from (hotforwords) of Facebook: Marina Orlova (hotforwords) shared Marina Orlova (hotforwords)'s album. 30 minutes ago. Available for sale. Contact me if you're interested to purchase. word@hotforwords.com Dance Before the Bullfight, 2013 (2 photos) Bullfighting is the only art in which the artist is in danger of death and in which the degree of brilliance in the performance is left to the fighter's honor. Another observation: The "artwork" from bullfighting doesn't get more valuable when the artist dies.

it's funny you should say "...is/are coming." The Brits handle collective nouns differently than we do. For example, they say "the company are" instead of "the company is." In other words, the Brits treat a collective noun as if it is a bunch of individuals, where as we treat the organization as one thing.
I wonder if they would say, "Marina's bosom are nice?"

I have just noticed that both of M's videos about hosting on Battlecam have now been withdrawn. This topic's OP's video is still available, however. I wonder if M has quit Battlecam, and if so, will Alki David's video be withdrawn as well?
We are going to have to start downloading M's videos and posting them separately for historical purposes if she keeps this up.
----
For months access to the HFW site from the Sacramento Public Library has been rejected. (Probably WordPress has detected too much spam from the IP address, which serves all 28 branches.) By using the anonymizer at anonymouse.org, I have been able to bypass this problem about 90% of the time, even though the library tries to block all anonymizers. But two days ago, a CAPTCHA has been enabled at HFW (probably by WordPress). I have not been able to satisfy it even when the characters to be typed are clear. At a residence, there is no problem accessing HFW. So there is another reason why the site is dead.
