The HFW site is now operating again, but there still is no way to open a new WordPress account. A new blog for this video has not been started either. Leonard, you beast: 1. You could have started this new thread yourself instead of making me slave over a hot keyboard wearing a too-feminine-looking-floral-motif apron. 2. You had "&feature=em-uploademail" tacked on to the YouTube URL, which caused the video to display a fixed image saying that the reader needed to download the latest Adobe flash. I don't know what that was about, but it kept it from playing. I tried to duplicate this in the sandbox topic, but I couldn't. Nevertheless, when I removed that string from your YouTube code, the video worked (displayed the thumbnail and played OK). I have a question pending at www.techairlines.com/youtube-parameters/ as to what this is supposed to do.

What nice little mice running around under that bikini top. I think I can see their noses. ---- Whenever you go shopping, be sure to get a luxury cart with its own cupholder/pencil holder/pen holder/calculator holder/list holder/coupon holder.

Since we have seen neither hide nor hair (I'm assuming he has both) of Evan Owens, Leonard, I would like you to post at HFW a personal invite for him to join us here. ----- While at McClellan Biz Park (the old McClellan AFB), I noticed some wag modified a street sign. Here's before: And here's after: It was a nice hack. Too bad he couldn't peel off that last bit of A. (If a job is worth doing....)

VR: The musicianship is OK, but I don't care for the screaming type of singing. There's has to be some musicality to satisfy me. Even Heart screaming at the top of their lungs still manages to carry a tune.
Leonard: Stephanie is definitely the best looking of the group. (The others must be affected by the long and dreary winters.)

xpoc posted a new painting on YT, which triggered my memory of this one:

Hey Camp, that's a cool classic performance by Heart! RE: screaming vocals It helps to think of harsh vocals as being an instrument, instead of something that should be understood. So why do they use it? I think it's because harder edged music in general especially Metal tends to give emphasis on not only the vocals, but the band as a whole. They see the vocals as another instrument, not another thing apart. The growls and shrieks gives that heavy, powerful feeling of the music they try to give to us. Of course it's a matter of preference! ...To someone like me it's amazing and has substance!\m/ ;D TYRANTS SILVERWING

Now that you mention it, I tend to think of Nancy Wilson as an instrument, too. Perhaps I just have a different taste in instruments. Take a listen to the music in my signature. ---- You can run from Streetview, but you can't hide.

No, Leonard, you've got it all wrong. The Predator doesn't spy on the bathing beauty, it delivers her. (Your tax dollars at work!)

As of this afternoon, the HFW site is down again with a 403 Forbidden error. I wonder if M is fixing it at long last? 1 June: Oops! It was NOT down. The error is experienced only if you are using PCs at the Sacramento Public Library starting last week. An E-mail has been sent to the head of the IT department asking for that to be fixed.

I just got word back from Sacto Pub Library that they aren't blocking the HFW site. They think HFW has blocked the IP address used by the library. Too bad there is no comms with M to confirm this. It's hundreds of PCs.

Oh, I wouldn't listen to that CampKohler guy. He went whacko from listening to too much Morse code during the Vietnam era and hasn't recovered yet.
I am up at the family vacation house in Grass Valley CA for three days (pine trees, etc.). It's really peaceful at night hearing nothing but the breezes blowing through the tree tops. I'm using my sister's laptop tethered to an iPhone 5. It works well.
